Default Starting a second cc01... but a unimog this time!

Since i love the look of unimogs and enjoy so much my 1st cc01 Fj cruiser, i decided to buy another one but a unimog 406 this time... They are so cheap right now...

Not sure what route i will take with this one but i'm sure i want to be a different setup than my Fj... So go ahead, give me ideas...

So for now...

-kit cc01 unimog
-kit bearing sealed
-esc dynamite (already owned)
-servo Spektrum wp (already owned)
-motor yeah racing 35t
-kit ''damper suspension'' gpm silver

Tires: SDI trail doctor 1.9 on stock wheels...

Trail Doctor ULTRA Soft 1,9 scale tire - Scale Designs International

I love the look and the compound of these tires is juste amazing... so sticky...
And what about the tread

Only thing now is i'm not sure about the size tho... They are a little small to my liking for a mog... Almost the same outer dimension that my 1.55 Mud thrashers... Not sure what to do... Will probably wait till the build is complete and see what it looks like...

I am very please with the Tamiya metal (upgrade) shocks for the cc01- they don't leak at all.

I'm a big fan of those metal G Made wheels. I've got a few sets.

So, the build begin:

Cut a bit of the skid so the steering is clear...

Grind the rear of the knuckles for more steering angle...

4-links kit:

Almost there...

Brick mod and have to cut a bit of fender cause the big tires rub:

I tought of using the big skid/bumper to hide the hole and protect the chassis...

So, did a hole in the skid and screw it to the chassis, use some Shoegoo to fix the skid, cut the skid properly so the tires doesn't rud...

Use a piece of plastic to protect the esc... It is waterproof but it will help keep some debris out too...

Fit a rear bumper, nothing fancy here...

Almost there...

It was a pain in the ass to modify the rear of the body but i think i did good...
Everything is paint inside-out for durability...

Still need to fit an interior and finish a couple of things but here it is...

LightS:

Flex shot:

Scale accessories, i used a Axial jeep tire mount and the black box a the right is my battery box with on/off switch for the lights...
