Default Shock question??

What shock setup do you run or prefer? I just recently bought another cc01 and the shocks on it seem horrible. Could someone help identify them? I'd like to replace them with something tune able and better than stock. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

They look like Hot Racing shocks, but I could be wrong.

All I know at this point Is they seem to bind and have almost no travel. The skid plate seems to be to bulky too.

I liked the stock shocks the best. Ive tried several different shocks on my old CC01 and always ended up running the stock ones. Tuned them with different oil wt and stock springs. It was a C2 truck called power to the portal, I won several comps with it at 12"wb.

By far the best shocks for a CC01. Old school Tamiya aluminum oil filled. They are hard to come by and you need to buy two sets to get 4 of the same length. The new tamiya adjustable aluminum ones are great too. Super soft with stock springs. But as Chino63 said, the stock plastic shocks with oil and maybe change out the rod ends for traxxas ends and bam, great shock fort cheap.

Thanks for the great info guys. I've got two cc01 that have been modified before me so I've got some tuning to do and new shocks for one.
