OK, figured I'd share my latest creation / experiment with everyone. ![]() I've been looking to put a decent hitch on one of my CC-01 rigs and apparently there really isn't anything decent out there and I didn't want something that was obviously home made looking. I also wanted it to be strong as I will actually use it to a trailer. What I ended up using is a RC4WD hitch that I had just removed from my Ascender. The hitch is part # Z-S1596 and the adjustable ball munt is part # Z-S1095 Basically I just took it apart, did some measuring and lining up of stuff, marked a couple holes on the chassis and drilled them out for mounting bolts. I used the hitch side plates along with some 6mm spacers and through bolted them to the CC-01 chassis with some BH screws, backed up with some flat washers and locknuts inside the chassis. Theend result is this thing looks like it was made for the CC-01, it is good looking and strong. Also, with the ball mount removed, the hitch doesn't hang down enough to really get caught up on stuff. So, anyone looking to add a decent hitch to their CC-01, I think think this is a good way to go. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by HDMM; 07-19-2016 at 07:03 AM. |
