| How did i do?
Already installed Junfac driveshaft, bearings, RC4WD OME 80mm shocks, Tamiya stroke extensions, Axial 55t motor, Traxxas 2075 servo Current pic awaiting mount extensions...I painted the outside to try and maintain a scale look, this was my first time doing so and my first time using the Tamiya Weathering Master set! I'm going to use acrylic to paint the silver trim around the windows as well. [/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] Last edited by Jdubmkii; 01-13-2017 at 08:06 PM. Reason: Parts installed...need advice |

Looks good. Did you do any work on the c hub or lower front arms to get a little more movement out of them? It's worth it IMO.

I like it. I just put in a 2075 in mine. In addition to the steering bell crank i used traxxas link ends which really helped tighten it up further. Do you need springs with those shocks? I still haven't built up the courage to cut the brick but will have to after trying to get over some obstacles. |

I've already shaved the c hubs but haven't touched the a-arms yet, I might just go to a full aluminum. I feel the 80mm shocks were not the best choice due to the small compression range I'm left with because the rig can't travel the extra 10mm ya know? DIRT RUNNER: yes there shocks run internal springs, I actually just got my hands on the original spring tuning set that RC4WD offers for these shocks. |

I still need to cut the brick section further back and make something visually appealing to finish it off. What I wanna know is how do some of you get the cuts looking so perfect that they look factory, no chipped or melted edges?

You will need a dremel with the sanding barrels or abrasive stones. A sanding block with finer sand paper can do the trick.

I'm sure it will come out fine just take your time. Where did you get the plates? I would like to get some CT ones.

Just installed the new springs, I used the softest ones included and I like the results it's as close to a droop suspension yet still doesn't quite bottom out sitting still...I'll test it after mounting the magnets to the body this weekend

Nice job. Who manufactured the shocks and what size are they front and rear!

That turned out really nice and the wheel base is set perfect! Curious if you painted the inside of the body too? It helps creating that look of primer showing through as you scratch it up.

The rotten look was achieved by using Tamiya Weathering Master #87098...yes I painted the inside of the body copper so it would look rusty when scratched... this was my first attempt doing anything like this the lines didnt come out perfect obviously but I'm pretty happy with it
