| Isuzu Mu Tamiya CC01 "mod" :P
I folks... (being in the Rc world for about 10years, and recently entered on the crawler/scale thing...) So... For the last 2 years ago...that i bought a second hand Tamiya CC01 with the only scale body i like... https://youtu.be/iq0K_hT5lsM -This is how it's come from last owner... (video is on my channel but it is not made by me!) Then i started my own thing... First thing i changed on it was the color... :ha: -Still on primary "color" One basic question for this forum... -How to put direct youtube videos on the thread? What's the secret? Welcome to the forum, I used to watch your builds on xmodsforum (rip). You going to swap an asf board into this too? |

Yeah, still have the xmods and miniz's with ASF 2.4ghz boards! Well if someone can educate me on how to post a youtube video to appear right away on this forum...it will be apreciated! As for this Isuzu Mu... more stuff, as been done! Then the first coat of 1:1 color -Paint done, drying at the sun.... -Tires with a little "rim" paint...i like it! And now, some leds... Also tinted the mirrors...all mirrors! -Since was warping the tinted windows... why not some Carbon Fiber look? :P Not missing the LED bug atack... And not forgetting to make the front stiffer, or lower... -The front mud protecter, with some screws and hot glue to make nose down! -Also made a front bumper out of some piece of alloy.... -Now it can drop the body at front without hurting itself! :ha: More to come...someday! | |

I removed and reposicionated the support for the 2 links on the rear...to become flat to the belly... -Photo shows only the removed part... then i "epoxy" it and they sit lower on chassis...not sticking to much out to it the ground like before.. After that, i grab some ears Then went for the snorkel... And added more rubber -That's how i fixed the rear "spare" tire... And those will help to extend the tires out... -As being a scale car..it is not going fast...so wideners can be used safe! -Time to post some videos... https://youtu.be/FqbR926fPqE Changed the "bushings" to metal bearings... what a diference! -See the white bushing? Goodbye! -Metal! -Then got the rear diff out, clean and put the bearings where it belongs! -Opened the front diff, which was locked with screws... to screw the diff....i put some heavy oil...but later will put plasticine (putty). After that put a el "cheapo" motor that works...cause the one included had not serviçe brush's and have not ball bearings! And i will use a HW 1080 esc in the future. The GOLLRC esc has not a strong BEC for my leds... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pqQTU_SyfxA&t=17s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UczRWFVbwLw&t=1s Last edited by THX_138; 02-06-2019 at 09:10 PM. |

Nice Mu! To embed a video you just copy and paste an embed link from Youtube or where ever, though not all sections here allow embedding. I just tested it and this section does allow embedding. |

That looks sweet! My CC-01 Freelander shows up tomorrow. Can't wait to start modifying it now that my Ascender offroad wrecker is complete.
