My first CC01. The body will be set aside and a Suzuki SideKick body added. I have already received the YeahRacing chassis upgrade kit and the Suzuki Sidekick body. Just getting ready to get it all together. I already have one on a SCX10 chassis but want to build one more for scale looking. BTW this is for my 1:1 crawler. ![]() My SCX10 Suzuki. ![]() My 1:1 crawler ![]() |

Chassis complete-ish. With a little of yeah Racing conversion kit in Blue, Ansmann Racing rear links and a little extra Traxxas links I have the wheel base I need. Also a set of Matching 82mm blue Aluminum Shocks. Slipped on my Fav Wheel/tire combo. SSD Beadlock 1.5 and PitBull RoackBeast tires. I like the YeahRacing Rear link frame mount for it's 5 position mounting option. The yeahRacing rear links did come up Short tho and that is way I also ordered the Ansman Racing rear link kit. Driveline 1"inch too short now.. :O ![]() ![]() ![]() Skidplate needed a lot more trimming to get the steering to move freely and added the an extra hole to insure tightening the steering arm without having to remove that whole skid plate. I forgot who did this first but he does have one Bad ass CC-01.. The thing with all the blue is the Company that sells the Best Lift kit for Suzukis paints all their parts blue.. Calmini Blue. soo.... |

The "Trail Repair" hole. Has saved a lot of time on the trail when running GPM steering kits. ![]() Looking good so far! |

Unfortunately I don't have a mass of Misc parts to toy with (for now ;) ) so I'm Just doing what I can. Front suspension is a little like the 1:1 Sidekick. when lifted, it has some positive camber and the toe really moves a lot. Thinking of making the steering more like the 1:1s and use some 1/12 bell cranks to move the steering to the front of suspension. Stretched out the wheelbase to 10 3/4 to match the Suzuki body. now the shocks are in the wrong position. Last edited by Zukiiholic; 05-07-2018 at 09:45 PM.

Some 5mm spacers between the rod ends and the knuckles takes care of the bump steer. That's the cheap and easy solution. ![]() The front suspension really doesn't need much. I've messed around with mine just because I can, but honestly, it's fine for what it is. Usually I throw in CVD's and call it good. |

| ![]() That is one of my best picture of it. Just washed it up and parked it in the garage. Then it snowed really good, drove down the street to my local park Parking lot with fresh snow and snapped the pic. If I knew then what I know now, I'd have backed up all my pics before my PC Crashed. But... I still have my lil Zuk in the garage safe and sound. |

Body on.. ![]() ![]() I'm really hating the front Brick on the chassis and lack of Bumper options. I will be cutting the front brick off and angling it back to look spiffy and find a way to mount a SCX10 bumper mount on it to solve my problem.. I do have a spare chassis in case I screw that part up too. LOL. |

I can honestly say, I have never seen a Sidekick I thought looked cool...until now. You clearly have vision, it looks like it would be a load of fun.

I never thought I'd own a Import. My daily Driver was 78 Dodge PowerWagon on 38"inch tires and gas was hitting $4 a gal. Sold it just in time and bought my lil Suzuki sideKick for 4wd and mileage. and Then... I got infected by the Evilseed and just couldn't drive a 4wd without modifying it. If it wasn't for this little guy, I'd never thought of driving anything other then a Mopar Product.. Now all my RCs are Mopars or Suzukies. ![]() Toyotas are still just a little too small for me. Not including my Scion xD.. ![]()

Struggling to find a way to mount a SCX10 rear bumper or just any bumper was a headache for me. Bought the required rear bumper with tire carrier and it came with the SCX10 bumper mount. Soo. Little fiddling around with some L channel aluminum and the SCX10 Heep rear bumper mount that had some weird mounting brackets. ?? Soo.. If I shaped it up a little and painted it, ya wouldn't be able to see it. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. ![]() ![]() I will shape, clean it, and get it all painted up and it will look as good as new-ish. ![]() |

Very creative! I don't know that I've ever seen SCX10 bumpers on a CC01.

I little more fine tuning and shaping and I'll get a coat of black on them to blend them in. Quote:
I was gonna use the factory body/bumper mounts but the tires hit them and I have lots of SCX10 parts. ![]() I'm still trying to figure why I'm building this just like my SCX10 one. LOL. I like my bumpers high and tight.Just don't tell anybody it's from a jeep. LOL.
