My Landcruiser 40 build Building rig completely stock first except for bearings and servo arm, then I'll upgrade from there. Here's a pic of the rear axle with extra spacers to reduce slop. I also locked the front diff using g parts lockout. http://i1211.photobucket.com/albums/...AB0373C95D.jpg |
Re: My Landcruiser 40 build All finished. Now let the upgrades begin! I'm undecided on what color to paint it. Definitely white tophttp://i1211.photobucket.com/albums/...FAEB096717.jpg http://i1211.photobucket.com/albums/...5E5F6AE069.jpg http://i1211.photobucket.com/albums/...F24C4197AE.jpg |
Re: My Landcruiser 40 build My favorite RC body. Set aside a few hours for the decals. The windows take forever. |
Re: My Landcruiser 40 build I like the green on the new Land Rover Defender. Whatcha think? |

Re: My Landcruiser 40 build Finally had time to do the wheels and man it took a while. Those things are hard to get that first screw started when assembling. My thumbs are bruised! They fit perfect. Looks so much better than stock. http://i1211.photobucket.com/albums/...1A8CC68F2F.jpg |
Re: My Landcruiser 40 build A classic wheel/tire combo. Looks good. |
Re: My Landcruiser 40 build Now on to the GPM 4 link with no instructions...... |
Re: My Landcruiser 40 build Got my GPM 4 link installed. [Uhttp://i1211.photobucket.com/albums/...B20201548F.jpg RL=http://s1211.photobucket.com/user/evetsyelspih/media/D64511A2-0E1E-42A2-96B7-77C53330A427.jpg.html]http://i1211.photobucket.com/albums/...C53330A427.jpg[/URL] |
Re: My Landcruiser 40 build With no instructions the 4 link was a trial and error install. I think it came out okay. |
Re: My Landcruiser 40 build I did a bit of guessing with mine too. Pretty easy once you get everything laid out. |

Re: My Landcruiser 40 build I don't think I did, though I used the short wheelbase mounts.. You probably needed them because of that adapter for the "middle" wheelbase. |
Re: My Landcruiser 40 build I messed around with it a bit today. Set up the lower links differently which made a huge improvement and installed a Junfac driveshaft. For some reason can't upload pictures right now. |

Re: My Landcruiser 40 build I installed the Hot Racing steering set up and it's perfect. Almost no slop in the steering. Hopefully it holds up. |
