Default My Landcruiser 40 build

Building rig completely stock first except for bearings and servo arm, then I'll upgrade from there. Here's a pic of the rear axle with extra spacers to reduce slop. I also locked the front diff using g parts lockout.

All finished. Now let the upgrades begin! I'm undecided on what color to paint it. Definitely white top

My favorite RC body. Set aside a few hours for the decals. The windows take forever.

That window trim looks easy to mess up. Did you use any soapy water or windex when applying?

Hop ups!

The tires are 1.55 RC4WD mud thrashers.

No, not at all. Xacto and patience.

Looks like you've got some parts to install!

Yep! Can't wait till I have some time to do it. I always build stock first (except for bearings). Still need barrel springs. Hopefully the Hot Racing steering set holds up we shall see.

Finally had time to do the wheels and man it took a while. Those things are hard to get that first screw started when assembling. My thumbs are bruised! They fit perfect. Looks so much better than stock.

A classic wheel/tire combo. Looks good.

With no instructions the 4 link was a trial and error install. I think it came out okay.

I did a bit of guessing with mine too. Pretty easy once you get everything laid out.

Did you use the flanged plastic spacers that came with the kit? I put mine under the long links on the chassis. Still unsure about that but without them the links hit the chassis.

I don't think I did, though I used the short wheelbase mounts.. You probably needed them because of that adapter for the "middle" wheelbase.

I messed around with it a bit today. Set up the lower links differently which made a huge improvement and installed a Junfac driveshaft. For some reason can't upload pictures right now.

I installed the Hot Racing steering set up and it's perfect. Almost no slop in the steering. Hopefully it holds up.
