| CC01 scale look wheels/tyres
I'm going to be building a CC01 in the very near future which I'm hoping to use as a trail vehicle. The shell is a Lada Niva and I'd like it to look as scale as possible although the shell is lexan not hard plastic. I'm guessing that 1.55 or 1.7 would be a better choice than 1.9? Also, any tyre recommendations would be useful. |

Is this the body you're planning to use? 1/10 Lada Niva Interesting video My suggestion for rims and tires. These 1.9's ...or 1.55's It's kind of hard to determine which fit better without seeing the body with some rims and tires mocked up. Last edited by 58_Willys; 06-25-2019 at 04:30 PM. |

Hi there, I haven't gone for a hard body - not this time anyway. It's a lexan shell made by a guy in Bulgaria. I've rolled the dice on 1.55 with MT 84mm tyres. If they look too small I can try the wheels/tyres off my SCX10 for comparison. |

sounds cool! yeah i would start with 1.55 and go up form there if needed. i had tiny 1.55 dirt grabbers on my F150 for a while to make it look like a stock trail truck (plus the body was closer to 1:12 anyway) and those tires were great. most people use them as trailer tires, as they really are small. CC01 is a great choice for the Lada, hope to see some pics soon! |

Lada Niva - great choice :-) In 1:1 world I always had a love/hate feeling for them. Great little offroader and then such a piece of sh** manufacturing - LOL The 1.55s will look scale for sure - is it the MTZs? They will perform surprisingly well for their size. This is how they look under a work-in-progress CC01 (hard)body - on Team DC rims. |
