Default compatible body mounts

Hi everybody.

The time has come to ressurrect my CC01. I bought it around 25 years ago with all I had saved for years.

It has spent around 15 years stored and "decapitated", as it is missing its wrangler body.

I plan on dismantling and greasing all gears, and even throw some money at certain hop-up parts.

But of course I will need a body, and there goes my question:
what bodies (availables) should be compatible with the Wrangler mounts?

If not, are specific mounts sold together with the body?

I would like to change to Defender or Pajero. I guess it will be easier, being SWB all three.

if you buy a similar shaped body you just have make the holes in the body to fit. anything else that fits might just need shorter or longer body posts, and you can just swap these over. most bodies come without holes so you can make the holes where you like. various lengths of posts for the cc01 are available on eBay.

Use any body you want and get some heavy duty magnets and come up with your own mounting bracket

or use Velcro strips. I made up mounting brackets and then just put Velcro on the bodies. no holes and easy to take on and when changing batteries.

Thank you for your replies.

@The_Italian_job the thing is, the Wrangler body on this CC01 didn't use body posts, but rear "pinholes". The body stays attached by two rear pins and a front tab. I believe the Pajero uses this same system and would therefore not need more stuff. Velcro strips sounds good.

@aiden102408 I guess I could try that too.

Sorry . Didn't realise. All mine had body posts. I tend to buy cheap kamtec lwb bodies.
