I have been wanting a amigo since i saw one when they came out but they weren't vary practical then i see the tamiya version and I had to have one well 5 years later after 4 versions were added to the discontinued list and tamiya has them on sale right on I figured now or never lol I ordered one I'm sitting here waiting for them to send a confirmation email finished checking my email thinking they should have prosesed my order by now and saw a big brown truck and it had my new rig in the back the payment is still pending and there's no information in my tamiya account but the rig is here lol I can't wait to get started This will be tamiya number 9 but my first cc01 and probably 4 years since I built from a kit definitely something different for me I don't know why I waited so long I haven't been this excited about a build in a while usaly it takes me years to peice together a rig this one is all in one box so the build should go fast Last edited by ferp420; 09-04-2020 at 08:58 PM. |

Mostly built I am basicly building it stock I did lock the front diff though with silly putty and locked the rear nothing exciting there I'm hating the black crome body I'm debating getting a white body or just painting this one if I paint this one it will have shiny crome scratches so that might be cool any one ever do anything cool with the black crome Im also woundering if a 4.19 tire will fit this rig without major trimming thanks |

Im having issues right now with pics im taking then but they will have to wait to be posted Anyway the rig is up and running i put some 4.19 pit bulls on it i did a small lift on the front and put longer shocks on the back then trimed the body some to get the tires to fit it looks good next is a brickectomy and a new front skid then i plan to pick up a new steering rack Im leaving the back windows off and i want to do a simple cage and try to recreate that back rumble seat i plan on using a spawn interior for the front it looks like a perfict fit The search is on for a decent replica of the stock aluminum wheels they came with back in the day i might have to settle for some stealis in the right style Thats all i have planed right now i need some run time on it before i know what else i need to change im thinking i might have to wait down the front some to make it climb |

The brickectomy went well the new skid went in nicely and i found a 555 can motor laying around that fit nice and tight and has way more torque than the stock motor and about half the speed so it worked out for now almost ready for its first trail run hopefully today

I fabed up a cage for the back area and made the jump seats in the back i decided to use the fuzzy side of the velcro to apolster the back seat and make mounting small scale items vary easy lol it got a dmc kenetic winch to keep things simple I still need to paint the body and get a spawn interior and maybe some new metal wheels |

so after driving this rig for a while i decided it was time to finnish the body lol i dident bother fixing any of the scratches or gouges i just shot it with black primer i masked off a few spots i wanted to be crome and put some stickers on and the light lenzes on and i ended up using a yeti 1/10 interior in it the mounting tabs for the interior were so close i just loosend the window screws and slipped the yetis tabs under the screws and its mounted and fits perfict nice and snug inside and just clears the servo the scratches in the primer look good to with the crome poping through now i just need some scale rust lol |
