Default Modifications to a CC-02

Hi,
I am considering (well, pretty much decided) a CC-02 for my son and I.

I have been off the game for 25-30 years. I want to build a cool car with my son and drive it for fun with him.

Has anyone seen, or tried/researched, one with wider wheel base, more ground clearance/lift and bigger tyres? Say 33-37 inch scaled up.

I am also on the lookout for a Landcruiser 120 body. If that is impossible to get hold off I will probably look for a Tacoma, Hilux or Amarok body.

Hoping to hear from you guys!

Cheers Fred
(way back when; Tamiya Grasshopper, Monster Truck (can't remember the type), a street car with alu rims and slicks (ditto), and a Team Loosi XX)

The CC02 is a great truck, however if you want something bigger then go with an SCX10.3 or Element Enduro. The CC02 is smaller and can't fit tires bigger than what it comes with.

Thanks for the feedback. As far as I can tell both those options are pretty much finished from the factory. I really want us to build it too. As I think it will add to the experience.
Or am I missing something when I look at those two other cars?

Since you appear to live in Sandefjord, have a look at the Elefun webshop, they have a lot of interesting stuff for you

I know the Axial SCX10.3 comes in kit form. Not sure about any of the trucks from Element. Check their website, associatedelectrics.com

Unfortunately Elefun.no has the worst Tamiya selection in the world, plus it's massively overpriced. I recommend tamico.de

In my opinion CC's are good for putting on a shelf. If you want something to drive and perform and be able to upgrade it, get anything else.

Anyway.

Most models are available as kits! I know Norway is not in the EU, but there's a deal where you don't pay import duties from EU, right? So you have dozens of shops available from Austria, Germany, Finland, NL, etc... Tamico is a good one for Tamiya like tjohanne said.
