Default June 1, 2008 - Update concerning TCS website being down

TCS may be down for another day or two. The data center had a major incident. Here is the report direct from the Data Center:

OFFICIAL RELEASE from our DataCenter

Saturday evening at 4:55pm CDT in our H1 data center, electrical gear shorted, creating an explosion and fire that knocked down three walls surrounding our electrical equipment room. Thankfully, no one was injured. In addition, no customer servers were damaged or lost.

We have just been allowed into the building to physically inspect the damage. Early indications are that the short was in a high-volume wire conduit. We were not allowed to activate our backup generator plan based on instructions from the fire department.

This is a significant outage, impacting approximately 9,000 servers and 7,500 customers. All members of our support team are in, and all vendors who supply us with data center equipment are on site. Our initial assessment, although early, points to being able to have some service restored by mid-afternoon on Sunday. Rest assured we are working around the clock.

Cool. Seems like a weekly TCS order has become my normal thing on Sunday night or Monday, so now I'm kinda lost, but I'm in no rush for anything. I know that's gotta be a huge mess you guys are having to deal with.

Glad to hear everyone is alright.

Here I thought it was my inability to operate my computer that was keeping me from ordering parts. Hopefully all will be right again soon.

captiancrash, if your order processed fine, then it would have shipped today. You should have got a processed and shipped notice last night.

The site is back up and running now and we hope there will be no more outages. Thanks for your patience.

The site is working, but it's sloooooowwwww. Question is, if we manage to get an order placed on there, will it ship like normal, or are there shipping delays?

Edit: Nevermind, it just aint gonna work. :(
