Default Graveyard Shift Losi 2.2 Build

Picked this thing up yesterday morning and I took it to work with me last night and got er running(Good to be the boss)

This thing is well thought out as far as mounting electronics, batteries and servos. Had a few minor issues with some loose/lack of loctite, but it's all an easy fix.
This thing has some killer steering and the dig as far running around the house has been flawless. Changed out the tires to Cougars, other that it's pretty much straight from the box.

Gonna try to bribe Mayhem into some matching offset wheels as I don't think the little hardware will hold out to long on the stocks ones.

Also got to run down to the race car shop to put the body in the metal brake to fold in the lower sides.

Parts
Spektrum 3520 dsm2 rx
Tekin Fxr
HH 35t handwound w/17t pinion
CC BEC @6.0v
TP1320 and Maxamps1100 3s lipos
Hitec 5955 for now until my new JR8711 gets here
MRC dig servo
Panther cougars

Probably gonna try the Tekin RS system from Holmes next week.

Side by side w/ my berg rig. With the tire set-up I have there is about 5/8-11/16" more axle clearance on the Losi.

Could you explain this process a little more please? I know Rich said the future ones will come with bent sides, but I am curious how to go about bending the lexan if I ever need to in the future. Thanks in advance for any info you can provide.

At first there was some. But with some runtime it seems to be getting better. I took my axles of the truck and chucked the driveshaft half on the axle in a 1/2" drill and spun them for about 10 minutes each after greasing them good.

Just referring to bending the bottom of the body in toward the chassis bout level with the bottom of skid. I just use a sheet metal brake.

How do you actually bend the bottom of the body though? Is there a special process? Or just heat, or...? Thanks in advance.

No special process. Just bend like you would a piece of sheetmetal. In a brake or a vise, wide billed pliers(flatters what I call them). Just clamp it where you want to bend it and it will leave you a straight edged bend. I'll get up a pic or two later.

Edit: notice the pic on your box. It's rolled/bent about 45 degrees or so, kinda gives it a roll pan look.
