Default Busted CVD on first run (pics)

18:34 into first battery pack. just taking pictures. not in a bind. no weight in wheels, stock tires. who sells parts? this really takes the wind out of your sails.

How did it happen? Did it fall? Were you at full lock on the steering?

Looks like it's twisted a bit? Were you in a bind? This is starting to look like a big problem! I have a low # rig to....one of the first 400 to come off the line Rich, go ahead and send me a replacement set of 4 please I really don't want to be at the RCC comp coming up and have this happen when I'm 26 hours away from home

ya im rig #85 hopefully when these transmission issues get worked out i will not have the cvd problem, im planning on competing this thing and i dont want a broken one. God knows i have enough trouble finishing courses:-P don't need any help there. so does limiting your steering seem to help any?

That is just a guess on my part. Setting the EPA's to allow a little less throw would make me think that it would have less stress on them at full lock....but if they are snapping from stress or binding then it wouldn't matter. So far everyone that has broke one it has been on the first or second pack. And they are saying the were not in a bind or at full lock? Could be a bad batch of CVD's but I doubt it.

It's going back to the give and take thing......getting more steering with CVD's and getting a weak point because the CVD's can't take the stress....or less steering throw and stronger shafts. It's looking like the Losi has amazing throw but weak CVD's.....

Kinda sucks for everyone right now because Rich is on vacation. But it looks like there is someone working on some Tit ones as we speak The joy's of worm drive axles

Thats what mine looks like!!!! Seriously though, I did enter a comp yesterday, made it through the first gate and then......

You seen the results. I wouldnt suggest running them in a comp until you have this issue fixed.

No stainless or you will end up having a Bully axle with more problems. They need to make these comp axles out of 4340 Chrome-Moly.

I ave no issues at all. I set my end points alittle less, because the HB Rovers rub the shock at full crank. Other the the slipper clutch needing tightend up I have ZERO issues. Knock on wood.

The guy at Losi will be on here soon to answer the problems. He has given great support so far and will handle this problem. He is at his daughters softball tourney this weekend and will be back soon.

This isn't a Losi truck, its a Horrizon truck. I had a bad feeling about this truck and "losi's" quality. I watched there race vehicles go from great to ehh. I will wait until they get all the bugs worked out to pick one up.
