Default Losi 4Pk Setup

This is simple and strait forward, just want to give you guys a quick reference.

Go to a clean model and name it for reference first.

This is what your home screen will look like.

Next you need to decide what switch you want to use for your dig. I am programming this using DT2 because I am guessing many of you will use this one.

Go to the DIAL menu:

Set DT2 (or whatever dial you choose) to read: CH3 100 / NOR
Click the image to open in full size.

I chose to also clear the rest of the settings on the screen so I can't screw anything up while driving, this is just personal preference.

This will give you a standard 3 position switch on the 3rd channel. Pretty simple

Now to adjust your end point adjustments (EPA) so that your steering servo is only moving the proper amount do the following:

Go to your EPA menu:
Click the image to open in full size.

With the rig in the air (tires not touching the ground) adjust the ST values until you get the amount of steering you want. I suggest going to full lock and then dialing it back a fair amount since this truck seems to have extremely weak CVD's:

These values are just for example, actual values will depend on servo and servo horn length you are using.

Now repeat this if you want to setup a dig servo:

Go to your EPA menu:
Click the image to open in full size.

With the rig in the air (tires not touching the ground) add a small amount of throttle and adjust the 3rd channel EPA's until the dig engages and disengages with full engagement:

These values are just for example, actual values will depend on servo and servo horn length you are using.

Any questions just let me know, and don't blame me on your steering end points breaking your CVD's

I am not sure what "wounging" is but I hope I cleared something up for you

You could use any DT button you like of course. I would not use DT2 on my radio because my buttons are clocked with the drop down and that button doesn't sit comfortably, but I figured I would for people using the stock config.

Harley....I have mine set up on the two thumb dials (where the adjustable rear throttle is on the Berg set up). I was wondering if there is a way to make the dials not so sensitive, so I would have to rotate them a couple of clicks (instead of just barely touching them) to move the dig.

No matter what each click is going to move the servo, you can assign each click to have a lessor value but not to make it skip clicks.

If you are finding that your menu screens don't look exactly like mine then here is the difference.

Go to the menu screen and scroll over to Menu-T and set it to level 3. Level 3 will display all of the menu functions the 4PK has. The other levels "dumb" down the amount of menu items so you don't get overwhelmed

Harley, I am using the thumb dials (DL1 and DL2) to control my dig. Can I also use my PS2 to control only the front dig? This would involve PS2 being at neutral and the forward setting on the dig servo. I would like to do this since I use the front dig so often on this rig.

Another option would be to use PS2 to control rear dig and PS3 to control front dig (same buttons controls the digs on my Berg). Not sure if that would be easier.

Thanks again for the help.

OK, well I tried several things last night and was able to get what you wanted. HOWEVER, there are several side effects that I don't like and therefore don't know if I would suggest the setup to just anyone.

What I had to do was set the value for channel 4 equal to the value of what your front dig would use (say 86% right).

Then I setup PMIX1 to say:
Channel 4 master
Channel 3 slave
Right = 100%
Left = 0%

Then I programmed PS2 to control PMIX1.

This will give you the on-off front dig with one button. HOWEVER! If you had PMIX1 activated (putting you in front dig) and then hit the DT2 you can get some very wierd settings. This is something that you may have to see to totally understand what I am saying. If you are savy with the radio you can probably figure out my methodolgy and see what I am trying to explain. Otherwise I can shoot some video and upload it as soon as I get a chance. I will keep trying to explore some options for you.
