Default need help setting up dig on dx3r

I have a DX3r and am trying to set up my losi. I am very new to this and could use some help.
i got the steering servo centered and hooked up right. how do i go about setting up the dig servo and setting it to a switch on the tx?
i also backed off the steering travel to 90% to prevent breakage for now.
anything else i need to know/do?

I found that the "E" switch on the Dx3r is most comfortable for me, but any of the 3 postition switches will work.

First, go to SYSTEM in the menu.

Then select SWITCH SELECT

Scroll down to "E" or whatever switch you picked for the dig and set it as AUX 3P

Turn the AUX travel all the way down to start with, center your servo, and hook up the linkage.

Set the endpoints for each direction so that the dig engages and disengages and the servo stops humming. I'm only using something like 20% travel in each direction.

I have my dig set so that when I push the switch forward I get front drive only, and when I pull the switch back I get rear only. It works well for me and keeps me from getting too mixed up on course.

Go2 the 'System' option, set 'E' or 'F' to 3pos, inhibit whichever you don't use. I set 'F' to timer, but you can worry about that L8r.
Back to menu, go2 'Travel', select 'Aux', set both to about 10- Note~ when you highlight a Ch. both values will increase/decrease until you turn the wheel to select the 1 to fine tune. as long as you power up your Dig servo before you install the horn/shift arm you can now bump each value a few more digits to FULLY engage. If you're using the MRC servo, it's a noisy lil sucker- don't worry about it, if you don't set them (epa's) far enough it will fail to shift inside. Look in your manual for the LOSI, it clearly shows that 4X4 is about 2mm from flush on the linkage out of the tranny. Start there- Feel it w/hand a few times if unsure then bolt everything up + DIG .
Anyone Else. . .?

pull the servo arm off and make sure nothing is binding. Also, check the plug and make sure its not in the receiver backwards I've done it too...

If everything is in correctly and still not working, maybe try plugging your steering servo into the 3rd channel and see if the servo moves when you hit the switch. That will tell you if the problem is in the dig servo or in the radio setup

You might need to change the frame rate to 11ms. On mine the aux servo won't do anything if I'm set on 5.5ms.

my framerate is at 11ms. i can plug everything in and when i hit the button forward, the servo will move. but i can't get it to go back to center or move the other direction. i am at 15/15 on travel and have tried up to 30/30. it is set up as 3p in aux. i don't know why i can't figure this out...?

Make sure the other switch is inhibited, or set to another function besides Aux (2p or Lin). The radio will conflict if more than 1 switch is set to similiar function when 1 is at 3p.

Yes,I am having the same problem. I am running a digital mini and steering, both HITEC. The radio is set to 5.5mns for digital servos,my switch "c" is set for aux 3p,no other switch is set for aux. Still nothing. Does the system need to be rebound? Everything is brand new. Please help!!!!!

I use switch E and I am trimmed to 33% travel with an HR225-mg servo
Frame rate is 5.5 for my steering servo. everything works fine.

In addition to E being the 3 position dig..... I also set up F as Aux 2P so I can pop in and out of front dig faster. Those times when you need to rip out rip out rip and the 3 position is just not as user friendly in those times. Plus if you have run front or rear dig hitting F will center you back to 4wd.

Try it you will not be disappointed.

good tip, Doncrawla out here in Socal showed me the same thing. It gives you a bailout if you get out of shape when using the dig... punch F and you'll have 4wd back.

As far as the radio issue, are you adjusting everything with the linkage on?

I'll post this here, as I have not found the answer searching :-( and have exhausted the manual and trial and error methods. I know it is a Losi Crawler thread but there seems a few people watching with Spektrum experience.

I currently run a Nomadio in a dual FX-R berg, and have single buttons for in and out each dig option, rear dig forward, front fig forward, rear dig back, etc I do this by setting each button to activate a predetermined + or - max endpoint on either Channel. I like it this way so I can have dig forward but still reverse if I need to bail in a hurry.

This really works well but I would prefer the smaller DSM2 Rx,.....so is this possible?

Thank you so much buddy for the help. I'm running both digital Hitecs in mine also. The menu creen on the DX3R says "CAUTION,RUN DIDGITAL SERVOS ON 5.5". Mine will only work at 11mns. I did have a brand new defective HS5245MG dig servo though. (unless having on 5.5mns burnt it up) Everything works perfect now! Thanks again for all you PROS helping the us newbies!!!!!!
