Default New News on my CV's

As some of you may know, I broke my CVD's last weekend! (first baby, wooo hoo!!!) I got losi to send me some new ones, and installed them the other night and finally got to drive the truck tonight. I backed off the steering like was mentioned and glad to say, no problems! I let a friend drive it (colby) and told him to bind it up and give it hell. 10 minutes later no problems at all, still running fine. And he's just shooting up piles of rocks. I temped the motor, axles, and esc and these were my readings.

Motor- 120
Esc- 115
Axles- 95

The power train im using is a goat 18.5, 2s2p losi crawler 3300 battery, and 14t pinion.

It appears that just backing off the steering is what it needed to not pop CVD's.

good news, I think a big part of the problem was in assembly of the rigs at the factory, not tight enough.....no lock tight and people taking rtr to literally, with the problems I have read about I will be doing a tear down and break in on the axles and greasing the trans also;)

Yeah I still need to open my axles up and get those pesky extra shims out of there. Im loctiting and shrink wrapping my CV pins, so they can't come out even if they want to!

Putting the battery in the stock location, it fits fine:

i used shrink wrap on my cv pins for my tlt axles and it doesn't work like you think it would. it just poked through. your best bet would to take the rings from axial cvds and a little goop and put those on. you just have to back the set screw in the cvd off alittle to keep it from binding.

I think I paid 284. They can be had much cheaper online though if you look around.
