Default Anyone run a full pack out of their truck yet?

Heres a rundown of what's installed:
Eflight 1500mah 30c 2c
Novak 17.5
Novak spectrum GTB
Towerpro 996r ( end points turned to 110% )
Jr rs310

First pack was stopped from heat build up. No temp gun but I hit my thermal on my speedo twice before stopping for the day.

Second pack I picked up a horrible click in what i believe to be my front axel. Tore axels and trans appart to find little to no grease and performed the shim extraction while it there. Everything benches perfect!

Third pack I was practicing with some buddys and heard a unique crack fallowed by a crunch and munch. Figured it was my first cvd failure and sure enuf. That's that sound. Off to my lhs I go. Buy a shaft for 10.99+ tax only to break on the 4th gate of the next course. Don't don't just break by the way. They SHATTER! Hope the cups stayed smooth.

I'm so torn right now. My truck was impressing everyone but I can't afford to really push it. Is this what vintage rc collecting about? If so it's why I don't do it.

Anyways... I contacted Rich and kindly asked if I could get replacements so hopefully I can drive again by this weekend.

Thanks for the read and hope to not come off as sounding *insert name here* but I really felt like venting.
Chad

I ran 7 or 8 packs through mine last week. did a small 2 course comp wednesday with no problems, Yesterday though we had our big ORCRC comp/ Axial WCC qualifier and in the 4, 10 gate courses I managed to break 3 cvd's, the truck performed awesome other than the cvd weakness

Was working on my first one until I lost a center drive shaft CV pin about 15 minutes in.

I got 10 packs though mine and it rocks I have had no issues at all. just finding the right motor/pinion combo is the biggest thing, but i think i've found the right combo. Doing more test'n tune this week. Doing follow the leader with other comp rigs and it's nice to see the losi walk over the competition.

Just got mine at 4 pm today and ran two packs right out of the box wanted to test the box stock so I could see what improves. So far no issues, kept the steering limited but did bind it up several times but I'm not a power it through kind of driver I stipp change angles and try and wiggle out.

So far so good, she's on the table being torn apart now, these foams are retarded hard.

Your end points are the problem. Most who have had good luck with the CVD's had their end points turned down.

I'd blame my end points too but I broke them going straight!

After pm'ing the appropriate people and hearing no answer I think I'm going to try there 1-888 number and see if there's any warrantee on these particular parts. Hate to think I ordered in January just to be down most of our season.

That is very disapointing to hear. I have read that sometimes the pin in the cv joint is loose from the factory and wiggles loose and gets caught on the cv cup and snaps while driving straight. Try shrink wraping them, I have read of success doing this and also the drive shafts at motor and axel end. I have one sitting on my shop bench waiting for the motor issue to be resolved. I have heard most are getting replaced with no problems by sending Rich a PM or calling the number you listed.

I put aluminum rings on my pins during the first rebuild and loctite on everything that could use it.

Other then the cvds and the clicking coming back in my front axel I really love my truck. I cobbled a dog bone setup on one side and still pulled lines my old truck did but this time 3wd!

About 5 mins into the first pack it broke a CVD, no worries though....Rich is sending a replacement. It worked very well up till that point though. I'm very happy with it and know that Rich will get these issues worked out and all will be well.

I searched my PM's and could not find one from you. You can always email me at rtrujillo@losi.com

I'll take care of it.

Rich

EDIT: I take that back I found it. Sorry I didn't respond to your PM, but your axles should ship out today or if I met the deadline, yesterday. I get my PM's emailed to me and I probably read that and failed to respond from here. Either way you'll should have them by Thursday.
