You can use as narrow as .335 up front and Berg in the rear.

i tried it with the .335 up front and the steering link rubs on the bead lock screws. and i kinda like it this way because with the .335 in the rear i really don't have to watch the rear going through the gates as much because it is narrower than the front. well thats what i think will see

Would you mind posting some more pics of how you mounted the ESC? I can't seem to keep that little capacitor out of the way of the driveshaft. Thanks

Default some testing

well i was going to try it yesterday but something went wrong with my esc so i went to our local hobby shop (rc heaven) to find out what was wrong come to find out i had to update my esc duh.... so since i was there i decided to try some brushed motor and pinion test and this is what we did
20 turn with 13t/14t/15t/pinion smoked it
27turn with 13t/15t/17t/pinion smoked it
34turn with 13t/15t/17t/pinion smoked it
70turn with 13t/15t/pinion no smoke with both pinions 13t very slow with some stall 15t little faster but more stall

this was done with a fxr/ 3 cell lipo 1350mah 20c and on mild rocks

so we was thinking that the 70 turn was better then the rest that the trans does not have enough gearing.not sure on how to get gear ratios but we took apart the tranny and this is the numbers 46t spur/30t slipper & top gear/38t dig gear.if you would like to you can do the math but it seems the gears in the tranny is geared to high but this is only my 2 cents

does anyone have a gear reduction unit laying around that would try to use it to see if it helps any and let us know?

oh and here is a very short vid of to day. this was with losi 17.5t motor & 3 cell 1350mah 20c batteries

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLH6Mzk5Q3E

then this happened like many others but i'm not worried rich and the guys at losi are doing everything they can to help everyone out

TRANS ratio was like .86/1- on purpose. The reduction is IN the axles, you need to turn the trans pretty quick to get the wheels to move an inch, yet still have balls to keep em moving. . .
RCCTV went over ALL of the ins/outs couple wks ago.
Best of luck + thx for testing all the options
