Well this past weekend was our outdoor season final and the lonely 2 LCC's in the club gave some very competitive MOAs a run for the day. My buddies LCC and mine are very similar in setups using what we've learned since the truck came out and all the great tech from this site. Being our last outdoor comp our course builders gave it hell when designing the layouts. Course 1 had some great technical areas that really made ya work the rig with side hilling and grabbing a good setup for your next gates. Course 2 showed a great 3 gate tight technical spot in the beginning causing you to really set your rig up and not bind things. After that you had a bit of breathing room before you attempted a hollywood jump for the bonus gate. It was a great day though with the 2 LCC's taking a course win each . For the series this put my buddies on the top podium for 2010 Series Champ with the win for the day and me on the series 4th spot. I was very happy for him being consistent, not beating himself up over small mistakes and showing those MOA guys the LCC doesnt go down easy. and me with my wittle one some past competitors (think they were MOA owners ) some action from mines Boss Claws ..... so impressed at their performance. For me they seemed to be the most consistent tire I have run yet . Areas that I know my Rovers would have searched for traction the Boss's just seemed to go. Got a little foam tuning to do but very pleased with them so far. Last edited by Robbob; 11-16-2010 at 05:24 PM. |

so with the good comes the carnage pics ........ lets just say my driver was no where to be found for the 3rd course so back home and about an hour later we had this That was Sunday night .......... Monday brought small present for the other end of the truck Unfortunately with these I had to give up my high steer but after swapping back to the factory ones it doesnt look like Ill lose that much, the 20* help pick the steering up not that no ones seen the angles but ill share little tight to the axles with out the wheel you can really see how far they kick back While I had the axles out figured Id show my band aide to binding the front axles after cranking the wheel nuts down. Even with bent, still original too, pins I dont seem to crush the hexs into the bearings. On the back of the hex I just file down the lip so its smooth like this now .... Congrats on the great finish! I'm glad to hear the cut Boss Claws are working for you So... how in the world did you manage to do that much damage? I've never seen anyone except hurricane Jamali do something like that to a Comp Crawler. |

Thanks guys. That was the effect of course 3, it was more the distance between me and my pit table that wasnt so forgiving after I ran the course. Good news though the battery plate survived | |||

You gotta shave away some plastic for the steering link to get full throw. Nice job and all that. |

Just a small update I got done tonight on the dig linkage. Still using the CDW dig mount and everythings been working great. I been forgetting about the link but finally got it straight like I wanted it. Heres the old typical aluminum ball stud ..... And heres what I used to straighten it - they use them on pan cars. There threaded for 4-40 screws so all you need is a longer grub screw about 1/2'' to thread into the servo horn then thread the ball stud on. And the new angle - much straighter Nothing major but just a little something I thought to share Last edited by Robbob; 11-20-2010 at 09:46 PM. |
