I was thinking the same thing but instead of 7 cells I looked for a more powerful 2 cell Lipo and found this. http://www.maxamps.com/proddetail.ph...4-Pack&cat=205 Its a 2000 mah 2s Lipo and it has a 60C burst with 30C constant. It is 0.5mm wider than the LCC battery tray but I am sure I can get it to work. This should give the Goat a little more jam, I ordered one and it got shipped out today, and since I am in canada it probably wont get here till later next week, I will report back then

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that is still a 7.4 volt pack. That pack may stay at peak longer, but without an increase in voltage you probably won't notice a huge change?

It is still 7.4V but having a higher peak at 60C and a constant of 30C will allow the battery to drain at a higher amperage. I think it will be a noticable change, but I am still learning Lipos. Will post the results when I have the batt. | |

This is exactly what I've been planning on trying. My 6 cell pack just doesn't have the umph to get the goat out of a bind. I'm going to try 7 cells when I find a good set of loose batts. I wish the goat system could handle 8 cells....

I just ordered a 7 cell pack last night 4/5A size cells 2000mAh 7 cells in series Hump configuration I'll post up my findings after I've had a chance to try it out. I'm hoping that the extra cell will be just what the doctor ordered.

Tomorrow, we will be announcing our new Goat 3S controller. It will include a special profile for the Losi Comp Crawler.

We were only able to get the LCC vehicle about 10 days ago, so we were in the dark about how to make sure the new Goat 3S would be compatible. We will also be releasing a 13.5 Crawler motor for our existing 2S controller (for use in the LCC.) The 13.5 motor is too hot for the 3S. As we develop more guidelines, we will post updates to the BL Crawler system page on the website.

Hey Andy, I ran my goat on 6,7, and 8 cell packs and it seems to build less heat with higher voltage and smaller pinions. Be carefull of packs that have lower c ratings. Mine works the best on 3s lipo although I dont see why you couldnt do the same with a nimh pack with enough cells. basicly you need real low gearing to avoid heating up under a load and enough volts to get some wheel speed. Good luck
