Check this out... Rich found that the 2S Lipo packs used in Losi's 2S2P saddle packs fit nicely into the stock battery tray.

Losi part #LOSB9867
2S
20C
2400mah each pack

These packs are a great option for you guys that are running 2S stuff. Plus, its a good deal since you basically get two packs for the price of one

Cool discovery for sure... Nothing like getting 2 packs out of one!

BTW, where did you get your Stand? I've been using my old 1/10 on-road stand and its a bit short, just barely pulls the tires off the ground, need something taller and portable like you've got there..

That stand was a prize for winning an OCRCRC comp earlier this year. Tyler (Shoei1 on here) made it, and its sweet I don't think he's selling them, but I know a few guys in our vendor section are.

No problem man, I'm glad to help. The cool thing with this rig is that I can post setups that directly apply for you guys. I could never do that with my custom stuff before.

Default Preparing for Worlds...

I headed out to Apple Valley today to get some practice before the World Championships. I'm leaving in 7 days

I've made a few small changes to my rig that have helped a bit, otherwise its still a pretty stock Losi Comp Crawler.

50wt. oil in the front shocks
45wt. oil in the rear shocks

10oz. Each front tire
3oz. Each rear

Here's a cool line I found today

Another Angle

Dropping in

I'm very happy with the way the rig is working now. I've spent a ton of time on the rocks over the last month and I'm feeling very solid going into the World Championships. I'll be doing a complete teardown and rebulid over the next few days, so I will grab some pics so you guys can see how everything is holding up to comp-style abuse 7 days a week

See you guys in Donner
-Jake

quite a few of the stock ones...

NONE of the newest ones

I ran the same set at the Socal Regionals, WCC, Colorado, Spain, and probably 50 hours of practice in the last month.

Default Worlds...

The World finals in Donner were absolutely amazing... I hit a few gates and was 8th overall after Saturday, but came out on fire Sunday and made up a lot of points.

Parker really stepped up the courses and challenged us on Sunday. I was driving better then I ever have and my "Boss Claws" were hooking up. I jumped from 8th to 3rd on Sunday and made up a ton of points on everybody.

With a bunch of world class drivers just points behind me in the shootout, I knew I had to be perfect. I had a flawless run going until I hit the dreaded gate #6, a double-step climb on a sidehill and covered with loose dirt I spent 3 minutes on that gate and threw everything I had at it, but the rig just wouldn't go... I took a score of 28 for the course and fell to 6th overall for the weekend. I wish I could have had another run at that gate, but with the level of talent in Donner that weekend, I'm proud to have finished where I did.

I have to say a huge thank you to Team Losi for making this all possible. Rich and Jay are amazing to work with, and Team Losi is a force to be reckoned with on the rocks. Congrats to Jay on his great finishes over the weekend! I can't wait until the next time we can ride to battle against the best in the world.

For now, I'm going to unwind a bit and take a short break from crawling. Two weeks from now I'll be making my first appearance north of the border at the Canadian Open in Ottawa I've got a few more ideas to bring the Losi to the next level and I can't wait to share them with you guys. Until then... See you on the Rocks!

Big thanks to you guys too! Cool pics, and glad to see the losi doing so well there... Seemed like there was quite a turn out for the losi crawler.

The Boss Claws look like an interesting tire, can't wait to see those come in production!

Enjoy your time off, and show them Canadians how its done in Ottawa Eh'!
