Default Setup Updates

Here's a little setup update.. I'm pretty happy with the way the truck is handling now. I'll be on the rocks a lot in the new few weeks to get ready for 801RCC's Utah state championships... Winning 3 in a row won't be easy

I'll be bringing a few sets of Boss claws to play with on the Utah redrock, but I'm betting that they will be incredible there. I had them out on some damp, cold, sandstone over the weekend, and they hooked up well enough to give me a 30-something point victory I have a feeling that they will do very well in St. George...

Hey Del Monte,

just like to say (all the way from Australia) congrats on your placing at worlds and THANK YOU for the great info that you have posted in your thread. i have purchased one of these rigs and i cant wait for it to arrive!!!
i will be setting it up to the same setup as you have.

i have 1 question for you.

with the dx3R you use does the aux channel you use for the dig allow you to use front and rear dig or just rear??

i ask this as i have a dx3S and i have read the instruction book and it will basically only let me have rear dig.

keep up the good work Thanks Reece

Thanks for the setup, I'll have to try it...

About the DX3R, there is no problem running front and rear DIG... Really great radio to a great car...

Ok I looked on spektrums site the dx3.0 has the same 3 rd channel feature of 3 positon as the dx3r so it would be cheaper rather than get a dx3r as I got a dx3s already!

What speeds do you run the diffs in on a drill???

Im pretty sure the DX3.0 is only a 2 position 3rd channel. You can have kind of a ghetto 3 position switch, using the reversing feature on the controller and the 3rd channel button on/off button. If there is another way, I dont know about it.

Yeah, I'm still running 9-10oz in the front, and 3oz. in the back. If you're in an area that has good traction or a lot of steep drop offs you could probably add another once to each rear tire. My rig performs better with 4oz. in the rear tires, but you can really tell that you're dragging that extra weight when trying to climb slick stuff.

Hey thanks Jake for the info. I just Set mine up last night. I just need to change the shock fluids and pistons. Oh and add a little weight to the wheels.

Ya the fog was crazy. All the score sheets were really damp and were getting hard to write on. Great night though and Jake your perfect run was awesome. I cant wait to compete with you with my new LOSI
