If you look at your Losi the BTA is much more complicated then that of the Axial. The rear link offered on the axial has room! With the mounting of the links and the shocks, there is no true straight portion to work with.. Thats not to say we won't figure something out, but we also wont release junk parts which means we got to have time for testing. I know there are alot of companies trying to be the first with some upgrades. I myself wont rush quality.

Id like to see a machined tranny center section/ motor clamp to keep everything from flexing under power.

I can't get the damn motor out of the plastic housing, there better be enough play if the machined piece were metal. I can't tell you have many bruised knuckles I have trying to swap out motors

Why wait for a battery plate? I already made one in less time than it took to type this, with $0 extra dough for it. Get creative, lots of uses with what you got laying around...

No, I would vote for something else. Ti while sweet is a bad choice for worms.

I'll have to dig up the materials on the last gearset I worked on, but when I inspected them they had still had a ton of life left after 40 years of use. 15HP motor, and 20,000 lbs on the winch drum. IIRC, and I will have to double check, the spool was a soft 10XX series carbon steel and the worm was a high strength bronze... I THINK. I have the prints on the desk at worm calling it out. Much like a Losi axle, those winch boxes were PACKED with a moly based lube.

Use a small dab of associated black grease in the motor cam's slot. Thats what I used to have to do to my losi xx-4 race buggys. You may want to check to make sure there's no molding flash on the tranny center section that would cause the motor mount to be overly tight.

I'll have to try that... the motor seems to turn fine in the mount, it just is a PTA to get out. Course I might just have to learn a new way since I have these fat monkey fingers to contend with...

was wondering, how are the centre driveshafts holding up for you guys? Are they made of alu or plastics? I hope they are not as fragile as the AX10's.
