The losi shocks use a cartridge, so if you go stock, you have to buy the whole assembly I believe. It used to be that you had no choice but to buy the cartridges, but it looks like they can be disassembled now. I've heard good things about the GS Racing shock rebuild kits:

I just put 4 Sparks Comp Shocks on my LCC,and aparently i fixed the original leaky ones by removing the spacer between the 2 O-rings in the cartridge and replace it with another 3 O-rings so it contain 5 in total now.

So far i have just manually given them a good workout for 2 minutes each, but they seem to keep all the oil inside now.

Offcourse now that i was in the general area i have outborded my rear suspension

I would be careful with doing that. The cartridges are plastic and the threads won't handle a lot before they strip. You can crank them down tight, just be careful not to over do it.
Too much oil in the shock will make them leak oil past the "O" rings.
The cartridges are rebuildable.
Cartridge = LOSA5015

Yeah I my shocks leaked straight out of the box, and I stripped one of them out by overtightening them! I ended up putting teflon tape on the threads, and snugging them down.

Or you could just get the Big Bore Traxxas shocks XL, than do the cap mod to

them. Than you never have to worries about leaky shocks again. I'm so glad I

changed to them. They are butter . Green Slime will only last a few

runs, then your back to leaking.

Tower Hobbies has them here..Make sure you get the XL's not the XXL's

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXSP65

They always come in a pack of eight...You can ether sell the four, or keep them

for something else. I kept all eight.

As for the cap mod, I tried to do a search on here for it and couldn't find it.

What ya do it cut the top shock mount off of the cap, drill a hole in the cap and

screw a rod end onto it, the shocks wont leak from the top because there is a

top bladder that keeps the fluid in.

Mine leaked right out of the box (all four shocks with zero run time). Looks like they are going up for sale.

i replaced mine with some seals that i think were from mip, kinda a dark blue if that helps ya (don't have the packaging so no part number) and very little leaking after that, used a little dow 33 during assembly. since doing that, i've had to top off my shocks once in a year.

all three of those plus some extra tightening on the cap. you want to make sure they're torqued tight, thats what forms the cartridge seal.

in all the years of running Losi stuff the shocks have always seaped past the orings but nothing major. the biggest thing I see people do is tighten the cartridge hand tight.

use a wrench or the RPM tool for Losi shocks and give them a little more strength and Ive never sprung a gusher.
