Just getting it running so I can break it, then fix it good. DX3R radio - 3500 mini receiver Airtronics servo Tekin FXR controller Integy 35 turn motor - fresh comm cut and brushes and springs - least I could do before I kill it Hyperion 2S 1100 lipo No dig! Ha! Put the Axial limiters on the shock shafts and adjusted the things to lower it. Laid the shocks back a few clicks to clear the body. Form over function! |

First thing I did was take the CVDs out and found them to be the older style. Took the little set screw out and cleaned them up and loctited them back in. Then I used a length of heat shrink over the pins and put them back in the truck. Mounted the front tires backwards for an attempt at more traction. Can't remember if the Claws prefer one way or not. Ran it for a pack, driving it similarly to how I drive my DNA SSS Axial. Absolutely. gently. as I possibly can! Thing crawls really well. Motor temp peaked at 135 I think and it ran for about 25 minutes I guess. First run was a success! Again, this Losi crawls really well. Ran another pack through. And finally on its third pack on a downhill turn I did it. It got me. |

Since it's down and out, I'll check out the worm gears and see what they look like. Really liking it so far! |

| Yep, got mine Thursday, broke the gears in with the drill trick and thats exactly what my gears look like. With FOTO comp Sunday, I put it back together, but I will be contacting Losi about some replacements. We got to run ours for about 20 mins today and so far I'm impressed. I got this truck mainly for the ole lady to run at comp, with it being my back-up for the berg. She is really pleased with the truck and we are currently waiting for the paint to dry on her first paint job. BTW - Put a damn dig servo in that truck!!! |

| Nostalgic Sportsman Class 1 yo! Thanks! Tickets sold out in how long? I missed my chance. So I doubt it. And now I, like many others, would like to thank Rich Trijullo for PMing me to help me out about replacement parts. Also, a quickly returned PM, and email. Awesome. And hopefully the parts show up quick so I can drive this thing! I wanna drive it! |

Thanks guys. Yeah it's just a lot of Pactra Daytona yellow, with Pactra Indy Silver behind it, then Pactra Outlaw Black. Expensive easy paint job. It actually has a creamy yellow look, which is pretty cool. |

3 cell? I've tried it. Hot. I got my eye on the 13.5/Goat 3S set up, to put my new Hyperion 2S packs to some use. 35 turn on 2S is about 11.5K RPM. 35 turn on 3S is about 17k RPM. 13.5 Novak on 2S is 24.5K RPM So, I just might skip right up to the 13.5 Novak. I dunno. My Rock Force taught me one thing that's for sure. You'll kill brushed motors no matter what, eventually. |

Tom. To know the KV rating for each motor makes it easy. KV is RPM per volt. Multiply. JRH has a good one for random samples on his site I use for brushed motors: http://holmeshobbies.com/product.php...9&cat=0&page=1 And Novak has theirs on their site. Number of Turns: 13.5 (#3414), 18.5 (#3419), 21.5 (#3420) Watts: 195 (#3414), 119 (#3419),85 (#3420) KV (unloaded): 3,300 (#3414), 2,700 (#3419),1,800 (#3420) RPM/Volt 13.5 = 7.4 x 3300 = 24,420 18.5 = 7.4 x 2700 = 19,980 21.5 = 7.4 x 1800 = 13,320 18.5 = 11.1 x 2700 = 29,970 21.5 = 11.1 x 1800 = 19,980 Novak doesn't recommend the 13.5 on 3S, but it's 36,630. The Traxxas VXL on 3S is 38,850 for comparison. |
