I don't think Losi is making them... they were home made. What tires are these? - at Worlds...

We're working on them and revising the design a little. Since we are not a tire only company, it seems to take us a little longer than other MFG's to produce new tires. As soon as I have more info, I"ll be sure to post it. In the mean time, so far they have been pretty damn good where ever we have tried them.

These seem to have a huge advantage over badlands in our area. Since the lugs are so small on the Boss claws, they don't fold and create wheel-hop like the badlands do... even with a much softer compound

The secret glue is Loctite 406. Don't use anything to speed up the drying time. It only takes 5-10 seconds to bond. Use the flexible rubber CA for the inside and you are set to go. Super tough

So does the eclipse tires tread area need to be narrowed or cut and shut at all? Or is it just a matter of swapping out the sidewalls?

Thanks.

X2! i havent done any tire modding in quite some time now, i'd kinda like to try a set of pin type tires.

full width eclipse tread. you need to add some rows of pins to each one (i dont remember the exact amount). it will take a little less then 5 tires for the tread section, and 4 comp claws for the sidewalls

Thanks man, so the extra rows are to increase the diamiter to match the sidewalls correct?

2 pairs of comp claws and 3 pairs of eclipse tires...

This is starting to sound expensive...

Thanks Rich, I was looking at the 1/8th buggy tires. So with those 320 series tires is it just a simple sidewall swap?

You will still need 5 tires to make a set of four. These are about 1/4" wider then the 1/8th buggy tires.

Thanks. So full width tread out of the 320 series tire, plus a little extra to increase the diamiter to match the sidewalls, and glue away...

Doesn't sound too hard.

Correct

It's very simple but make sure you clean the tires before gluing. The mold release agent (oil) will not let the CA cure all the way.
