Default ***Losi MOA Update***

Alright guys, I have been listening to you who would like a lower over all ratio. Right now with stock gearing you are 55.55:1. I have been testing some gears that have my crawler at 77.77:1 right now. The new spur is plastic with a brass hub so gear wear is something I am looking at. Also, heat issues are being looked at also. Hopefully, this will open up a greater gear selection for you guys and make it easier to tune the Losi MOA to your driving style and terrain.

By the way, at 77:1, I am having a hard time getting much stalling. Just thought you would like to know. I will try to get some video up tonight

I have noticed something that Mike Poulson posted. At 77:1, I see little to no loss in wheel speed.

that would be awsome to keep my wheel speed and get rid of the stall the best of both worlds right there

Exactly what I need, Thanks for listening Eritex

Why not contract RR to make the spur in steel 48pitch? Cost?

Yes, and I am working towards better gear wear. I do not have a problem replacing my pinions ever 10 to 18 hours of running, but some do.

Now it mite be worth the price of admission having the lower ratio. Would it be a simple gear swap for the guys that bought the older kits?

I dont have a problem with that, 10 hours is alot of stick time..

Did you mean 48 pitch or are the new lower gears still gonna be 32 pitch? I really need the lower gear running the HH 500 cobalts.

Can't say I'm gonna go with the new gears...yet. I love the friggin kit.I dove have a small question though I don't really epxerience any stall anymore I'm runnin a sidewinder 35t integys 8t in rear stock in front and upgraded my bett to a 2250mah 30c 3s the helped a ton. But I've noticed when I'm BARELY on the throttle tryin to finesse around or down something my rear starts turning first untill I give it a little more throttle. Just wonderin if ya had any advise thanks guys.not trying to hijack the post just curious

THat is the down side of running a smaller pinion in the rear.
