| Clicking noise coming from transmission-Help please
My LCC has developed a clicking noise. It first started only when in reverse and I made sure the dig was adjusted properly and it still did it. Well now it has started while in both forward and reverse. I'm prepared to break the transmission open but thought I would throw it out there and see if anyone else had encountered this too and could give me some possible causes. Also I have just replaced both the front and rear worm gears since I had bad ones in both axles. (just did this and didn't effect the noise) Thanks for any advice!!!

Check the driveshafts. Doesn't take much interference on the front driveshaft at the tranny connection to make noise. Clearance is pretty tight right there. That would be my first place to check.

Does the clicking go away when you use the DIG? If it does, then take the tranny apart and stretch out the springs behind the DIG plates, reassemble and double check EPA's and you should be golden! | |

Probably driveshafts, but check your spur and pinion too. It doesn't take much for them to get noisy. Also, unhook your dig linkage and see if the noise stops. |

I'll check the shafts when I get in from work this evening and I'll also check to see if it does it while the dig is engaged. Thanks for help! I'll report back what I find!

Well here is the problem...had little pieces of plastic scattered all in the transmission. I just ordered the steel version from CKRC though. |

Well, there's your noise maker. Haven't seen anything like that before, must have been in a good bind or maybe just a defective part.

Hot Racing makes the metal gears and there is a guy on ebay that sells them . I was questioning about getting them and glad I did as I stripped an idler gear last night . Should have my gears tomorrow ! |
