Default New to rc crawing

Hi everyone I just ordered a night crawler and waiting on it to come in the mail. A friend of mine recommended this sight to me. I would probably never would have bought a losi or an rc crawler at that if it wasn't for seeing his sons build up. What an I say I got jealous. So far in the few threads I have looked at I found a lot of good info. I would have ripped the box apart and charged the battery and started running it right away, but I see that there are some recomended break in procedures to do first. I will also up grade parts as I break them I don't know how serious I will get into this, I already have enough 1:1 scale hobby's.

Zaf, as in cape town?

do you have any decent places for crawling? We actually have an RC facility here, there is a dirt track, a cement oval, and we have a small pile of cement chuncks... a few of us are working on gathering and building up a better course to crawl on.

I got my crawler a week ago crawler #1309. It crawls over everything I point it at, well some times it decides to roll over and play dead. So far I have added weight to the wheels, out boarded the shocks, raised the shock collar to the top of the body, raised the upper shock to the top hole on the bat trey. My links are parallel to the ground and I get high centered a lot. I need to look into getting a new steering servo the one on it seems a little weak. I have the following parts on order.

Losa5015 Double O-Ring Shock Cartridge

Losa99170 Losi Shock Matching Tool

67772 - Hot Bodies Rover Crawler Tire (Soft)

Last but not least and my favorite of it all.

Integy Steel Roll Cage Mini Rock Crawler

That roll cage says it's for the MRC (Mini Rock Crawler), is that going to fit a Night Crawler?

I know the DMG one fits the LCC / LNC..............

I finally got all this stuff in. The wheels look better in person. The wheels hold the rovers beautifully. The cage will need some tweaking to fit. The mounting plates for it sit right on top of the chassis.
