| Driveshaft set screws...
Any good tips on gettint the set screws out on the axle end? I have allen wrenches that are either a hair too loose, or won't fit at all... the allen key I used for the servo screws, and all the other set screws is a 1/16 inch. I have the new gears, but cannot replace them... HELP.:-(

1/16" should be the correct size for those set screws. Maybe try a little heat on them to help break them loose.

yeah, tried heat, no good. At least once I split the axle the gears are the correct ones, the back weren't, so i guess I got lucky for now... I'll just get some better tools, and an easy-out just in case...

I have a couple of quality hobby based wrench sets, but I ended up having to pick up a T handle 1/16" wrench from lowes to bust the shaft grub screws loose when I got my truck. Whatever kind of threadlock the asians are using on these things is almost impossible to get off. I HIGHLY recommend taking all of the metal to metal hardware off and cleaning all of the threadlock off and starting over with blue lock-tite.
