| Battery sucking LCC !!!! I just got my LCC about 2 weeks ago and I'm having a hard time understading why my batt only lasted 15-20 min when it lasted over 2 hours in a Creeper !! YES,I did remove the extra shims form the diffs and YES ,I did break in the diffs(2 Hrs each) I'm running a brushed 35t motor with 12t pinion gear and 2s/1600 Mah lipo batt. Its 6.3 lbs loaded. It does ok for about 15 min and after that it have a hard time doing vertical or climb but it 'll run on a flat for another 15 min or so !! What am I doing wrong? Is the LCC suppose to be a battery sucking machine? What Batt, pinion and motor are you guys running ? What's your run time ? PLEASE HELP !! Next place this thing will crawl to is a trash can!!! The worm gears in the LCC require more force to rotate than the traditional ring and pinion setup you are used to. Unfortunately the only way to get longer run times is to increase your Mah on your battery

I have 1650mah 2S but am running a brushless system (Goat 2s 18.5, 13t pinion) and get about 30 minutes, a brushless set up should help but it still sucks especially if you were running non worm... i've been looking for a higher mah 2s batt. with width and length the same (3" X 1 3/4") but increase in height resembling a 3s that will still fit in the battery tray... around 3000mah, hopefully I can find one somewhere:-(

my brushless to show up...My 35T would suck LiPo's like it was a juice box. On course 3 of a local comp my 35T went into smoke...Go buy yourself a brushless and you will be your runtime back...But def not 2 hours

I had 35t in mine for probably 20 hours of running at comps and practice for comps before I went with the MOA kit. I took it out of my transmission to look at cutting it and getting it back into good shape but after looking at the com and the brushes, I just put it back together.

Just buy a lot of batteries from HobbyKing.com. I have 6 batts for my LCC. I get about 15 to 25 min run times when out messing around and 1 course per batt at a comp. I have a brushless tekin in mine with 1300mAh 3c batts from HobbyKing and they work great. There is no point in running a big battery when you can run nice light ones. They are not hard to change.

I ran a 35T since the truck came out with out any problems. A lot depends on the driver too, cant just rip the throttle like you did on a ring/pinion rig. Indoor I was running a 45T to slow my wheelspeed down and use the torque. I would average about 20 minutes on my runs with only 1600mah 3S packs but in comp conditions thats more then enough. I only switched to BL with a 17.5RS system because I wanted one less thing to do the night before my comps. Getting lazy in my age and to much time on building scalers. but yeah your not gonna get run time like you were use to.

I guess I had bad luck..Smoked two 35T on 3S, and my friend smoked one.The brushless always stays nice and cool and my runtime has gone up..And I have more power. So I cant complain. |
