Default Xcelorin ESC firmware download

Check it out guys. Firmware updates for the 1/10th and 1/18th scale Losi Xcelorin brushless systems went up on the site this morning

http://www.losi.com/Support/XcelorinDownloads.aspx

For users upgrading their non-crawler 1/10 Xcelorin Sensored ESC (LOSB9500) with this firmware you may receive a read error after the upgrade. This is due to the fact that the information stored on the ESC is different for these two versions. After you have upgraded the firmware, ensure that there are values selected for each available option and then send the settings. This will store the correct options in the ESC and clear the error message.

Sweet. I'm guessing this will instant reverse too? I noticed from my new crawler esc LOSB9501, some of the other setting options aren't avialable like the original LOSB9500.

I updated my old esc today and somehow got more speed with Novak Ballistic 21.5T and 3S. I also love the new instant reverse.

That's what mine looked like before the ESC bricked... the throttle curve options went away, motor timing gone... Anyone else get a bricked ESC? my upload went just fine, no issues, worked well for a few minutes after the update, and now all I get is a solid yellow light, no fan, and no RX power...

A brick does nothing when you plug a battery into it too.... it's just an old computer term for being non-functional, you hear it a lot when modding computers, game consoles, etc...

Default Esc

Mine is a "brick" too but the fan runs. No LED lights on the ESC only the fan runs. I e-mail LOSI and waiting on a reply.....

Absolutely got the correct software. It ran fine for about 5-10 minutes after words... long enough to resync the radio, set the trim, and make about 2 8 foot long passes on my floor.

I haven't tried downloading the new software to my old LOSB9500 ESC. The problems you guys are experiencing are close to the same I was having. I replaced the orignal ESC w/ the new Crawler ESC LOSB9501. Not having any problems out of the new one. I don't think there is a need to try the software for it anyways. Also like previous stated, You cannot change or make custom throttle or brake curves, adjust neutral band width and I think there's something else too. Can't remember. I hope this mess gets cleared up. It's a crappy feeling whenever your $100+ ESC takes a dump.
