Default LNC noisey motor

Hi,

I just bought an LNC....and the motor is just whiney....annoyingly so. Is it supposed to be that loud. I've never had a crawler before and am used to my VXL traxxas trucks.

Also, when I back up, the motor isnt a smooth sound...it moves smoothly, just doesnt sound exactly smooth.

Also, it's so slow...I'm sure that's the way it's supposed to be, I've never seen a youtube video of it being faster than what I am seeing.

I will try and hear on those youtube vids the whiney motor....I hope that's normal even though I dont like how loud it is.

Thanks!

Are you sure it's the motor and not the axles? Losi's worm gears have a sound all their own and it's quite distinctive.

Try adjusting your gear mesh.

It's the motor. I just watched a few youtube vids without music and heard the same high pitched annoying whine. Oh well...I'll get used to it or sell it. Not sure if I really like the whole crawler thing yet, but will give it a dozen runs or so to make up my mind.

Sorry for bothering anyone and thanks for the responses!

I think your right my stock losi 55t motor was loud as hell. worked great tho. I put an integy in it and quieted it down a bit but to be honest i should of saved the money and waited for the stocker to burn up. I didn't pick up any real performance when i switched, accept the noise was cut down a bit. Good luck and have fun with your new rig

I'm actually going to try and sell it....tried it for 30 minutes...I ran it outside yesterday and in my house last night and I just dont get the whole crawler vibe...not dissing the hobby, I guess it's just not for me. AND, the money I spent on it was supposed to go to the IRS for 2009 taxes....uh....I'm an idiot. Maybe I'll try it again in the Fall.

sorry to hear that dude, but send me a pm on what you are asking for it. I love the night crawler and would not mind having a base for an MOA.
