Only way to really know it take it apart and inpect all the parts and put it back together. If it bad there will most likely be parts replacement needed in there somewhere. I just wanted to note that after I reread my post it may have sounded a bit harsh and that was not my intention at all. What I was saying is openig it up is the only way to know for sure. the rest is just assumptions. Last edited by AZrcdriver; 06-03-2010 at 09:53 PM. Reason: added note |

Spur gear and dig plates are the first things I would check

Del monte, i didn't see your message before i posted, i checked both of those things ( i have a brand new spur gear in it and i have metal dig plates) but could you help me with the dig? i cant figure it out. i tried loosening the nut on the dig engagement rod thingy ( the thing that the servo moves) and it didn't work, i have no idea what it could be

While I have yet to take apart the tranny as mine has less than an hours use on it by looking at the manual it appears if you assembled it correctly (there doesn't appear to be a snag point here) that if it was not engaging the front dig all the way then you may need to reset your servo setting on your radio after you finished putting it back together.

I ran into the same problem w/ my dig when I first set it up and found that I over tightened it. I had to buy the replacement dig package,(couldn't find just the arm to buy,) and replaced the plastic piece that attaches to the dig shaft. Once done however, alot of my problems went away.

I'm not sure about the metal dig plates, I have never used them before. Do you have a stock set to throw in and see if it fixes the problem? |

If you put too long of a screw through the skid plate into the trans it will stop the dig from working and also grind on the gear.
