Default Titan 21t won't fit in my LNC

Well I saw a ton of people saying that the Titan 21t motor is a good upgrade for a stock LNC. So I went to install it and it won't fit! The back of the motor hits the upper link mount and when the links flex the lower links also hit the back of the motor. Am I doing something wrong? Will only 540 motors only work with a stock LNC??

Thanks for your help!!!!

You gotta outboard your upper links to get the motor to fit, and if your lower links are hitting the can, you need a little more in the way of limiters to reduce the flex so that it doesnt. Thats what i did to my LCC when i figured out the motor worked in the losi. it will still have enough flex to crawl great, and the motor really works, especially on 3S. Which you would need another esc to do...but just saying

I put a Titan 21T in my LNC.

I just put the silver nut on the outside of the side plate and the hex head screw on the inside on that upper link.

I then made a little mark where the can still rubbed and took a bench grinder to the side of the can. I took off just enough so that it would no longer rub against the screw head.

You will not need to take much off. I also think I took some off the end of the can too.

Don't worry, it will work great once you have it in...tons of torq...

Good Luck!

Yep, nut on outside of frame plate does the trick.

I have. It worked great till i tried one of the 19t wild emaxx trinity motors and fried it. It wont handle that low of a turn motor. I would try to pick up a mambamax from someone used though. better solid choice with more options down the road.
