slipper eliminator gear ??? ok i have given in and installed the slipper eliminator gear and i noticed that it seats deeper than the slipper gear and only contacts half of the spur gear now has anyone else had this problem i am thinking of pullin it out and reinstalling the slipper with a spacer to get the slipper tighter any help is appreciated thanks in advance |
Mine installed perfectly and lined up with the spur/idler the same as before. I would have to look again, but sounds like you are missing a spacer or something. |
if i leave one of the slipper plates it has the same effect in reverse it dosent seat deep enough |
you'll want to re-install the spacer that is outside the slipper gear. I used a 3/8" AL screw to hold my spacer on. |
I am getting read to do the same thing....Does anyone have pictures of what we are talking about?? I would think this might be a pretty good sticky thread if you could show pics of installing all the gear upgrades and how they go together. |
