Default My New Losi Night Ceawler

Hello
I've finaly got my losi night crawler.
Dit som short runs withit, due to small battery's.
And i like it!!
It is still totaly standard as it came out off the box.
My question is what must i do with it ,i mean not wich hopups to buy,but what can i do do improve it whitout spending any money.
Must i open op de axels and grease it? that sort off things i mean.
It's my first crawler and i am a totaly newbey in the crawler scene.
This is mine as it came out off the box

Greetings from the Netherlands

with the axles, open then up, and make sure there's plenty of grease in there. while you have them apart, it doesn't hurt to do the grease port mod, basically drilling a small hole in the axle case in the diff area, so you can inject grease when needed without having to open them up. also put a bit of weight in your tires, a good place to start with that being (forgive me on being metric stupid here) is 6oz in the front, and 2-3 oz in the rear tires. this will help keep the front from lifting up when you're climbing. for that, most of us use stick on wheel weights like you'd use in a full size car. also with the lnc, it never hurts to play with the electronics locations to move weight around that way, and you can also lower the battery weight that way too.

move all four upperlinks to the top mounting hole to help with body roll. you cant really adjust shocks alot on that version but you can move the bottom of the rear shocks to the outside of the mounting bracket on the axle this makes it feel more stable on sidehills. if you batt is 1300mah or smaller you can cut a sheet of lexan to fit the top 2 upper links and place your batt there. If you had the front bottom links off a lcc you could clock the axle back to get a better turning radius. off the top thats all I know. with my lnc all I did was put a titan 21t motor in it for 20 bucks and it made a huge improvement. the rest of the truck is mostly stock. hope this helps. there are a ton of threads here but they are built around custom fab and aftermarket parts.

Fiero, did you try anything other than the upper link lift or the suspension shift?
Just curious.

Mine's bone stock as well, other than memory foam and 6 oz. weights in all the tires.

You can get some tubing and all thread rod to make bent lower links for better clearance.

Sounds like a good idea. But it would take a bit of trial and error.

Hi Fiero
Just showing you what new things i've done to my roig

Vertical mounts, and moved the receiver under the battery tray. Also I moved the upper links up a hole, and widened my shocks for the body roll. Also a hi-tec super torque mg servo
I forgot to say I also drilled holes in the axles and put silicon grease in.
