Default Should i get full speed reverse on LNC?

New LNC, if I set it up with proportional reverse I only get about half speed from throttle. If I set it up thru the radio to get full speed reverse then it is not proprtional, rather it is like an on/off switch and goes full speed right off with no gradual take off. So my question is, should the LNC ESC give proportional full speed in reverse. Ive been told by one LHS that it should and the other that it should not. Its a Spektrum DX3.0 transmitter and stock RX with stock ESC. If its a radio set-up problem then I will call Horizon or ask this question in the radio forum.

should be a full speed reverse that is proportional to the radio trigger. I would recommend starting from scratch. Rebind the radio, with all your settings set at "0" or normal. Than go to the simple ESC programming that it has. Sounds like a setting is just not quite correct.

Is this the stock LNC ESC?

There is a thread Literally right below yours that should answer your question:

I did not try to rebind, but did everything else like reset to defaults on the TX, I think I did the rest too. Will try again.

The LHS guy said no full speed and the other LHS guy said yes to full speed reverse.

I phoned Horizon today. The guy didnt know cars well, but went and asked another. It should have full speed proportional rev. It is now fixed. It needs to have the RX re-programmed as in the instructions in the LNC manual. Simple push the button process and takes 1 minute to do.

Now on to the next things.

You should get full speed both directions. "Start from scratch" that was a good suggestion. Re-calibrate your ESC with your radio. Good luck

I failed to look at the LNC manual and was just using the TX manual, that is where I went wrong.

LOL If all else fails read the manual. I am sure your not the first. Directions are only for when you can't figure it out.

I'm really suprised at the number of things you can set up on the stock LNC, but I am really new to rc crawling!
