Default Reusing spool gears?

Anyone ever reuse there spool after they fried the pinion worm. My ware marks use to be right down the middle now theres no ware marks.

I sure have. Completely cleaned them and inspected for damage, if there's nothing wrong, back in they went.

same here. before getting the hd gears my front spool outlasted 2 worms and shows no more wear than the rear one did.

Thanks guys wasn't sure I'll pick up a worm gear and place an order for hd gears since there back ordered everywhere

Yea reuse the spools, clean em up real good though, you don't want any carnage ruining your next set of worms....I went through 6 worms on my front axle, (2 of them i completely stripped, the other 4 looks like a tooth ripped off) and 2 in the rear before swapping over to dlux chromoly worms, and my spools are still going strong.

did it to my buddies yesterday. he spun the front worm on course 1, we threw in a spool and worm from my left overs and he finished the day up.
