Default Rebuilt axels, now not spining smoothly?

Hi.. Just rebuilt and cleaned the axels on the LNC.. Put all shims back in place, and a liberal amount of Lucas red and tacky #2. Assembled them back together while not over tightening the screw, and now the axels will not spin smoothly. Axels where perfectly smooth before the rebuild. Am I missing something?

Thanx...

you may have forced dirt into the bearings, just had it happen on mine, so it is possible, if they don't spin smoothly when you take them out, thats your problem. also may have too much grease into the housing, in which case you should clean a little out and re-assemble. also is may be as simple as when you reinstalled the spool, you may have put it in backwards to the way it was originally worn by the pinion, in which case the best option is to either swap it around, or leave it and run it to wear it in again.
