| LCC tranny question
Ok so here's my problem. I have a LCC tranny in my scaler with axial axles even with a 55 turn motor I have enough wheel speed to do donuts lol. So are there any bigger spur gears and smaller pinion gears I can use to reduce my wheel speed? I love the wheel speed but it doesn't have enough torque to climb very well. Thanks for looking

The losi trans has no gear reduction like an axial trans does. All of the reduction on a losi is done by the worm drive in the axles.

| Yeah I figured that out I believe Losi tranny 3.38-1 axial tranny 13.54-1. but is there anything I can do to the Losi? With axial axles you can run it in 2wd and switch it to 4wd

I believe the Losi trans is something like .86:1 and the AX10 is something like 2.7:1. You cant run a different size spur gear because it still has to mesh with the slipper gear. Sounds like your best bet is moving up to an even higher turn motor if you want to keep things like they are. |

I dont know if this will help or not, but I built a hybrid of sorts a couple of years ago using an lnc tranny and pti axles. I had the same problem of too much wheel speed. I ended up using an hpi gru and it did the trick.

there are some higher turn motors like integy makes one thats up to 85t, iw ould look into a gear reduction unit first.

I have used a gd600 before on an Emaxx hybrid with a 550 dewalt motor and it was slow ass molasses. After I get my cc bec I will give it the shake down it deserves. Can't really shake it down when every time I steer while in 2wd it glitches my guess is because of the bec in the sidewinder isn't strong enough. And its trying to run 2 servos lol. I might give the 65 I have trade access to.
