I got the new cv shafts in and picked up some split wire loom to clean up the wiring.

Here is a short video I got of the truck.

I got all new 45 wt oil in the shocks and changed the front pistons to #55. Also got a little better video but my dig servo burnt out before I filmed it

Took the truck to the last comp of the year down here in Az. Did great on the first coarse and had trouble on the other two. I was really surprised how it performed though I am going to tear it down, check, clean and lube the drivetrain. Also have a few ideas of what I want to do next. This is addicting!

oh just wait till ya get back up here the addiction is in full force here, and i have some smaller, better looking wire loom sitting around as well. the lube is really key (along with your greasing cycles) john deere hd moly is pretty much purpose built for worms, and i have a few tubes sitting around. i'm glad you're enjoying the truck

Awesome!

I got the truck back together but found out my front worm was ready to go So both axles are greased, tranny is clean with lube on the dig forks, esc is on the rear links and there is a aluminum servo plate up front (Old one cracked ) The wiring looks like a mess but it is routed decently. Since I want to change some things around and move everything to the front and as low as possible I didn't go all out this time. I fixed some bad solder joints and put conectors between the motor and bec for quick dismantling. I cut a deans in half for the 3rd motor wire until I get bullets

nice work on that little tray, very clean and bullets really are the way for motor connections, if you've ordered any batteries from hobbypartz, you can disassemble the connectors and have 4mm bullet connectors, quick and nice little trick there, they are pretty nice bullets in those giant plastic connectors. is a matter of contact area between plugs. deans have a good amount of contact area, readily available, and small. the plugs on the hobbypartz batteries have more contact area, but the are huge.

I was able to take it out and had a blast! I tried the comp claws backwards and I could tell a difference actually

Throw some rovers on that dude with closed cell inners and then run medium outers in rear and soft outers up front. You can find all of that at crawler inovations.

i dont have personal expierence with the 2.2 rovers, but i put 1.9's with stock foams on my MRC and it was easily a 100% difference.

Took the rig out and had a great time! Before I went I cleaned and greased the axles and changed the suspension a little. The truck just did everything I looked at I know I have alot more to upgrade and tune though I have been trying to get a low cog and it's been working but I have alot more I can change.

Nice rig you have there. I just reviewed the thread and like the way you have progressed and evolved your Comp Crawler. These are the sort of threads I like. They make me think.....

Thanks, glad you like it

So yesterday I was trying to run oil in the diffs instead of grease. It worked great although it did leak some oil out of the outputs. Today I'm back at it again, bought some o-rings that fit on the outputs and go in front of the driveshaft. They seem to seal it and don't create any problems so far.

i've got some stuff sitting around that may just fit the bill if you wanted to run an oil instead of a grease. deere special purpose corn head grease, it is a thinner grease that goes to a gear oil consistency when and where its worked, stays as a grease in the areas where its not. made for 90 deg drive boxes. haven't tried it myself, the hd moly just works so well.
