stock lcc shafts are what we recommend, they are what both losikid and myself use. and links and panels. both of our eye to eye lengths are posted on the first page. there are quite a few vendors here that make custom links, and i'm going to try to post up a delrin link tutorial once i can get out and work on it again.

I just got word this morning that the final parts shipped today, usps says i'll have them the 15th, 90% of the time it takes an extra day, so i'll have them the 16th, so they might be shipping the 16th or they might be shipping monday. Just depends when they come in.

These won't ship till monday or tuesday, lost a water pump, no warning, she just blew up, thought i threw a rod or something just all of sudden heard a loud knocking, smelt burning antifreeze, opened the hood and anti freeze had spued everywhere...turns out the bearing in the water pump just exploded, i'm hoping none of the pieces aren't in my block somewhere

i have parts, will be shipping probably tuesday as i still have to sort and package

half the parts are the pre-production parts I have, mostly rough cut/machined. I've been waiting on production versions but they keep getting delayed. So i will be sending out complete kits, but you will receive new parts once i get the final parts in.

Would have been today, but my water pump blew up so that killed my free time fixing it

Phoenix chassis's have been shipped

The Shark Fin and skid are hand routed, they were part of the prototype batch, once i get the cnc cut ones i will send those out. (I have no idea when i'll get these, may be here by the end of the week, it may be a month, just depends when they get machined and shipped, but i wanted to get you guys chassis's so i'm sending out the prototype parts) I still have 4 chassis, but i marked out of stock till i get machined parts

All holes should be drilled accurately on the protoparts, but i can't stress enough to make sure they line up perfect so you don't mess up the holes in your tranny and axle

10 chassis are in this first batch, it'll be another month or two before i start up on the second batch.

I'm going to try and get a phoenix build thread together to kinda guide you through the assembly. This will start sometime soon

Yes they are and stock upper And do you have to used the 3 brass spacers in between the transmission bc the bolts aint long enough or I got some messed up idk but man I like it a lot thanks :)

the brass bits are inserts for the transmission mounting holes. an 11/64" bit is needed to install them. slowly drill in the stock location, the bit tends to follow the hole pretty well. the inserts are included because after a few teardowns and hard falls, the plastic will end up wallowing out, eventually stripping. i had my transmission laying on the floor after a pretty hard fall one time, and my axle holes for the shark fin were getting loose. that's when the decision was made to include inserts with the chassis to be safe. if i were buying on, i'd just put them in right away and be done with it. its just outside the limits of the plastic to take really, losi didn't design these trucks for the increased stress the overkillrc phoenix system puts on them in the end. the inserts are the most cost effective way to end the problems with losi plastics.

insert tutorial:

start off with the 11/64" bit as mentioned. every insert i've done, i've done it with a cordless drill and patience. don't go too fast on this, if you get too happy with the trigger on the drill, you can force the holes away from where they should be. you'll notice that this is the front axle, i've already done a full metal jacket on the rear, so my demonstration pictures are on the front. the process is the same for any hole.

your tools for the job, use a short, roughly 1/4" long screw to drive the insert in.

here is a hole drilled ready to accept an insert. remember to take your time on these, go slow and don't force the bit off path.

and drive the insert into the hole, they should be flush. rinse and repeat for any other hole.
