| Where's the motor go?
I picked up a used LCC roller and got it running. At our local comp yesterday the LNC guys looked at it and said hey the motor's on the other side. Sure enough, my motor is on the right and the LNC's on the left. Was wondering why. Perhaps because of the dig tranny and servo, Losi put that on the left because it's heavy. If so, I should probably change because I swapped in an LNC tranny for 2.2S. So I have the weight leaning the wrong way? Yeah, I know about tranny-flip. It's on my list for the future. |

IMO it doesn't matter if the motor is on the right or left. By weight distribution it's better to have it towards the front, as provided by the tranny flip, but that also makes the motor run in the opposite direction of what's common. For reasons of motor timing I'm now having the tranny in the original direction, but rotated the skid plate so the drive shaft is centred. |
