| Xcelerin 17.5T Brushless Motor and MMP Issue
Hey guys, hoping for a little help here. Just getting my LCC back together and I have an issue with what I believe is my Losi Xcelerin 17.5T Motor. When there is a bit of resistance on the wheel, the motor seems to lock up and begins squeeling without moving the crawler until applying almost full throttle. I am nearly positive that the sound is coming from the motor. My MMP has it's firmware upgraded and is running in SmartSense. Any suggestions to what the issue might be? Thank you, DoctorRc |

There is no slipper clutch in my crawler. Nearly positive the motor is screeching. Not a mechanical screeching either, sounds electrical (digital?).

Make sure the motor sensor wire is attached and in good shape. If you have access to a tester, put it in and see if the problem goes away. It just sounds like your typical sensored brushless motor without a working sensor wire. Marcus |

I just got done lubing the worms, it is not an issue with them. I unfortunately do not have a sensor tester to try that, but if it is a sensor issue then the problem should be resolved by running in sensorless mode correct? And the sensor cable is in good shape.

Let me rephrase what I said. The sensor wire may outwardly look ok, but the only real way to test for an issue with the sensor wire is to replace it with another good known wire. I had a bad sensor wire on my LCC that only broke continuity when flexed one certain way. It may work ok in sensorless mode, but for best crawling ability, get the sensored portion working. Marcus |

If anyone cares, the problem was a bad motor. I bought a new Novak 18.5T Crawler motor and popped it in and now have no issues. Just in case someone else runs into a similar problem.
