I have seen this rig run, and it flat out works!!!! It does things a 2.2p rig has trouble with, makes it look easy. Good job on building this rig Derrick.

Is this chassi made for the losi or did you make the ax10 kit work? Nice job either way. I love my ringer.

Edit: just noticed the trans adapter. Nice work.

That is a great set up you got there and the rig looks graet as well.

I too wanted to get into 2.2S this season but could not find what I wanted in a chassis or servo mount so like you I made my own. Took second this weekend with my homebrew rig.

Tell me more about that front axel. What is your setup from the chub out. Is that a plastic horn? Looks mean is it tested?

I welded them up to a larger diameter and cut the 4 flats down to spec

And a friend who's done the same conversion did his by welding the XR shaft outer half to a Losi inner half.

That was my plan B if these failed, but I have put it through everything that I would during a comp and more so now I am 100% confident.

Sorry I missed your post, but that horn is plastic b/c the other day my Racers edge stripped out (it came off my wraith so it was a little worn) so a quick fix of the plastic one that comes with Hitec. I have another brand new aluminum on there now.

For more info on the axle here is the link
Wider axle mod???

M, is that ringer chassis adapted from the ax? From what I understand, the version for the Losi isn't out. Thanks.

Easley is right. I got to see (and fondle) this rig today. The pix really do not do it justice. It is great to watch, I was just shaking my head.

Not to mention great driver at the wheel, and Derrick is very great guy that answered all of my many questions about it.

M_Energy, great running with you today! Thanks for your time, and helping me make my Christmas list....longer.

Yes this is for the ax10 so I adapted the tranny for a quick fix, but very soon I will make a new skid with Losi bolt pattern.

Well I switched out my delrin chassis for aluminum chassis to make this setup a little bit more rigid. Between the delrin links and delrin chassis it would flex something crazy so I am slowly switching the delrin out, but I got to run it in our comp yesterday with this change and it was definitely an improvement. I will post some pics this week

Thanks! I am truly amazed at what it does. I have comped 2.2pro for years and if I didn't use dig on my pro rig and did a comparison of the two this rig will out do my xr all day long.

Man, I really like your build! Is you tranny offset so that the driveline is straight? Also, I bet you could relocate the electronics on top to the side for even better COG!

Did you ever make a new skid? How is that xr axle conversion holding up? I was hoping evil crawler design would come out with a losi version, but he can't even seem to fill orders for the ax10, so I'm thinking when I overhaul mine, I'm going to build one from scratch!

Would love to see more pics and vids of this in action!

My tranny is slightly offset. At first I centered the driveshafts up but my motor hung so far out the side it kinda made the truck lean all the time. So I compromised to keep the weight centered as well. I haven't made a skid yet, but hopefully within the next month I will get a chance to. As far as the XR conversion it is great! no problems and I can bind this into a pretzel and no problems. The aluminum chassis works so much better on this rig than the delrin, but if you have any questions when you tackle yours feel free to ask away

I know my electronics are still a mess, but I am still looking into what I want to do with them, but for the time being I might get me some Robin eggs to set in there but as far as I can tell when get all my electronics on the front plate I will have to move my front body mount.
