I don't see major issue coming with the tires on. Only clearance issue I might have is between the rod end and the c hub adapter. But that can be easily fixed.















I cutted some al cross braces for the chassis.





To do list

-Cut the revised cf motor plate.
-Knock off as much weight as I can from my HR idle gear.
-Mount the C hub adapter when I get them
-Make some steering link

I'm just curious, can you flip the lower rear links, so that the bend is closer to the axle?

Yeah I could, but that will leave the shaft exposed.

Sometimes to much clearance in the link can hurt the progression.

Looks like you have barely any shock shaft shining thru those limiters. Is it as limited as it looks?

Yeah my shock definately need some attention, but that's not as drastic as it look. Travel seem to be OK but I'll like a little bit more.

The front plate will do for now but later I'll try do a plate with the servo and the batt under to get everything as low as possible.

Most work on the trans is done so I putted it on the scale.

The trans is weightin 47g with HR gear and with my motor 198g. I started at 215g with a "stock" 15t crawlmaster medium fill. The weight lost is coming from the motor, the motor plate and the trans shaft. The HR gear are heavier than stock.






Also I milled the skid to mount the trans 2mm lower. I think I can remove 2 more mm, we'll see.

I'll try to get pic later.

Here's a shot of the motor plate, I removed more material from the skid, my motor is sitting dang near the chassis. 3mm lower than stock is safer for proper gear mesh adjustement.

Thanks man yes the wheels are home made, I made them to replace the first one in the post. One wheel had a crack and these rims are the first I made, since then I updated slightly my dimensions so they in the trash.

I removed some material from my hubs on all 4.




So here's the weight

Front tires.
TAG Mach 12 3pcs wheels, 225 slw axial hub, shaved rover's and DD 5.0 soft



Rear tires.
Flipped TAG Mach 12 wheels, 225 slw losi hub, shaved rover's and sedona foam.




Lastly I added a cf braces to stiffen the chassis. I can't believe how much this simple mod can help

That tranny is just awsome! Is there any room for the middle gear to move up and allow the motor to sit even closer to the tranny?

That's interesting, but you are still using lexan side plates which are pretty wimpy. Once you change to a stiffer material like CF or aluminum, I wonder if the diagonal brace will still make a noticeable difference.

Not a feeler (), but do you or your buddies have plans to produce some of your nifty CF plates etc?

The braces is there for the polycarb chassis because it's def too flexy.

I know I'll switch to cf later but I'll like to try this one first and would like a flex-less chassis.

The light tranny component will be part of the TAG arsenal for the losi comunity . Not the front plate and the shark fin.

Well it seems that I have enough parts to build a set of scx10 shock. I think I'll put them on, they re mix and match shock but I'll have the little extra travel I'm looking for.

Got the v2 motor plate finished, thanks for the input Thommy!



As I mooved the idle gear bracket higher I decided to give the other skid a try.
It just feels better not having the motor hanging so much and the driveshafts don't bind so I think that's the way to go
