Re: Alex's SuDu 2.2s. I really like that! How much closer did it move the tranny and motor together? |
Re: Alex's SuDu 2.2s. Literally my dream crawler. Nice work man! |

Thanks buddy "thumbsup" Not much really, the motor mooved 3mm in, I think that's the maximum I can get. Quote:
Thanks! |
Re: Alex's SuDu 2.2s. Thanks OB "thumbsup" That's the plan, the chassis feels like a performer, everything seems to be right. Now we just need to make sure it works as good as it feels. The truck is finally ready to run  I did some mild indoor testing for a couple of packs and the front end is working well  http://imageshack.us/a/img824/5373/dscf7092v.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img13/1606/dscf7094p.jpg RTR @ 1439g or 3.17lbs http://imageshack.us/a/img145/4538/dscf7090x.jpg |
Wow! Thats light mate. Top work. Cant wait to see this thing crawling. You'll have to get some video of it :) Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2 |
Re: Alex's SuDu 2.2s. Good grief!!! 3.17 pounds that's nuts!!! :shock:I'm guessing that's with no knuckle weight. You need a pair of Bovers on front of that thing!8) |
Looking good. ! Almost time for a carbon chassis. Now show us some testing! send from my HTC One-X |
Re: Alex's SuDu 2.2s. your link behind is that a bent vq wraith link or custom, and did you clock your knuckles at all? thanks and nice rig can we see a vid soon? |
Re: Alex's SuDu 2.2s. Quote:
Thanks OB, yeah that's light but I used allmost every tricks I knew to get it that low so it'll most likely not go a lot lighter. I can loose a little bit more weights with some Ti rear shafts and lighter driveshafts but I'll not work on it untill this summer. Quote:
Bovers? What do you mean Quote:
Thanks boss, testing will start in a couple of days 8) Quote:
Custom links, every links on this rig are custom. Yeah the knuckle have about 20* of caster, one good thing about the new tube design is that you can loosen a few screw and set your caster, kinda like the dlux caster ring but for xr ends. No sorry no chance to get vids untill august. Tomorow I'm leaving for Congo to work and see my familly. I'm leaving in a small mining town, tons of rocks, nice weather and dry season  but internet speed there is crappy, and that's when we have electricity :lmao: I will upload pictures though "thumbsup" |

Scalers, the trucks you build when you can't run a decent line:lmao::lmao::lmao: |
Re: Alex's SuDu 2.2s. I bashed the truck hard on my small backyard rockpile 2hrs and everything help up  This truck is really fun to drive, really lacking wheelspeed for rollover and save but that can be fixed with better driving. Other issue I'm having is a lot of rear axle push. I changed my foams and it feels better but still not perfect. Otherwise climbing is very good and after a few small tweaks It felt even better. So far I'm really digging this truck, LOSI! I will try to get a few pictures for you guys "thumbsup" |
Re: Alex's SuDu 2.2s. Sounds like its working well, yes we'll need some pics. This rig looks bloody awesome.8) |
Re: Alex's SuDu 2.2s. You might try some pins in the rear, so it gives you more slip when you need it. "thumbsup" |
Re: Alex's SuDu 2.2s. Any updates on this rig? |
